Blue Knights

We will meet two Sundays each month.

Blue Knights is a new youth group for boys 1st through 5 /6 grade.

It’s finally here! After much prayer God has seen to make it possible for Our Lady of Guadalupe to offer the Blue Knights Boys’ Club. This is a fun, faith-filled Catholic club for boys in grades 1 through 5/6. This club is the bookend of the Little Flowers Girls’ Club. This particular program was developed by retired Marine, theologian and Catholic author, Dan McGuire. The program maps out virtues, activities, talks, games and study of saints and the Catholic faith. There will be service projects and outings. They will come to know and understand the importance of all they study as the basis for living their life as the true Catholic men God created and called them to be.

The Blue Knights is part of Youth Ministry and will have the oversight of Lisa Kopertowski, however, the meetings and activities will be run by a young, newly married and truly Catholic man, along with a wonderful Catholic dad of four. If you would like to help in this club or have any questions, please contact Lisa Kopertowski.

Registration is required. You can find the registration paperwork on the youth ministry bulletin board in the Narthex or click here to download.

Sundays, beginning in the fall and ongoing.

6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Frassati Youth Room, Parish Life Center

Who can join:
Anyone in 9th through 12th grade

If fun, food, friends, games and Jesus work for you, then come on over. Bring a friend or make some new ones. If you think you already know what youth group is, I challenge you to come and see that it is not what you think, but much, much more. Last year we had an average of almost 30 high school students each week.

If you have any questions, email your Youth Minister (Mrs. K). I have a lot of great things planned for the year.

Sign up for Altar Server Training!

Sign up to be an Altar Server!
All boys and girls in grades 5 through 8 are welcome to join Monsignor Gentili and Mr. McGovern for new altar server training. All are welcome!

Our Lady of Guadalupe is in need of altar servers to serve at all weekend Masses throughout the year. Since the role of server is integral to the normal celebration of the Mass, at least three servers should
assist the priest. On Sundays and other more important occasions, three or more servers should be employed to carry out the various functions normally entrusted to these ministers.

This training is for children in grades 5 through 8, who are interested in becoming a new altar servers or a current altar server who would like to attend.
