Christian Initiation
of Adults

Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world.
Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process when people become Catholic. Candidates learn more about the Catholic faith and its beliefs and practices.

Becoming a Catholic

Each Fall, we hold Inquiry Sessions in a casual environment where people who are exploring Catholic Christianity learn more about the basic message of Christ and the mission of the Church.

If you are looking to take the next step toward becoming a Catholic, you can enroll in our program.

Each week our candidates attend Mass and then meet for class and discussion in a comfortable environment at our Parish Life Center.

Initiation

The Sacraments of Initiation into the Church are Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.

Through this program, adult Catholics and non-Catholics learn and share in the Catholic faith in preparation for the Sacraments of Initiation.

Some candidates require all three Sacraments of Initiation while some have been baptized as a baby.

Candidates are received into the Catholic Church each year at the Easter Vigil Mass.
